The Big Clean
The Big Clean
Have you heard of the Seattle Gum Wall?
Covered in thousands of tiny multicoloured paint dots, this $1 Bill is being cleaned by the crew.
Ever since starting to add paint dots to my artworks, people have mentioned that it reminds them of the Seattle Gum Wall, an area in Seattle that gets covered in colourful chewing gum. So I can understand the similarity. In November 2024, the Gum wall was cleaned for the first time in 4 years. Which instantly gave me the inspiration to create this piece.
Artwork is complete with 2 customised miniature figures, handmade platform and bins. Each paint dot is hand applied via paint pens on $1 bill.
Finished in a Black wood grain frame with UV perspex ready to hang.
27cm x 32cm/10.5in x 12.5in
Signed in Pencil on the inside frame. Also signed and titled on reverse.
Certificate of Authenticity included along with detailed log of each layer of paint dots, including colours, sizes and how long each layer took to complete.
